A potential itinerary covering Delhi, agra, jaipur, ranthambore, udaipur, jodhpur, jaisalmer, khajuraho, orcha, bandhavgarh in 24 days:

Day 1-2 sightsee in Delhi. Overnight/evening train to Sawai madhopur

Day 3-4 Ranthambore fort, painting shopping (i loved it), tigers

Day 5 bus to Jaipur, evening at chokhi dhani

Day 6/7 Jaipur - evening to Agra

Day 8/9 Agra. evening train to umaria

Day 10/11 bandhavgarh

Day 12/13 bus/jeep/hire to khajuraho

Day 14/15 morning bus to orchha .

Afternoon, take bus to gwalior, afternoon 345pm train to udaipur.

Day 16/17 take overnight sleeper bus to jaisalmer

Day 18/19/20 jaisalmer incl sam sand dunes. Take overnight bus to

Jodhpur.

Day 21/22/23 Jodhpur.

Then take overnight trains to delhi and fly out of the country.

Gwalior/Jhansi/Orcha is one geographical cluster.

As is Jaipur/Ramthambore.

Jodhpur is the main attraction with the best maintained fort in India!

Jodhpur is central for Abu, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Udaipur as well as trains and flights to delhi/mumbai with convenient times
